I know I don't always thank people immediately for the awards I've received, but I do want them to know that I appreciate them very, very much and always feel honored to have received them. Forgive me if I'm a bit slow on the take!
First is the Humane Award from Esme of
Chocolate & Crossaints. Esme makes great food and gives away books...my kinda woman! This is what accompanies the award:
"The Humane Award is to honor certain bloggers that I feel are kindhearted individuals. They regularly take part in my blog and always leave the sweetest comments. If it wasn't for them, my site would be just an ordinary food blog. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a regular basis. I thank them and look forward to our growing friendships through the blog world."
I did change it to "food" blog, because it originally said "book review", and although that would occasionally make sense here...it wouldn't on a regular basis. Thanks so much Esme, this is such a cool award.
I would also like to give a big thanks to both Joyce of
Just Joycee & Amanda of
Nourish for passing the Kreativ Blogger award to me. I'm supposed to list 7 things you may find interesting about me (
don't know why you would, but I'll try)...
1. I love rainy days, thunderstorms and weather in the 55-70 degree F range. 2. Almost everything makes me cry. I'm a big baby softy. 3. When I was a wee girl, my dad would let me read his large collection of Stephen King books. I would stay up all night reading with the flashlight because I was too scared to close the book and turn out the lights after I started reading S.K. 4. I love to be spontaneous, but deep down I find it really hard ever since I had kids. I can't go anywhere with out a huge bag or two containing anything somebody could possibly need. If we don't have it, it kinda freaks me out. 5. I sing loud and often. Semi-well. 6. I'm way more adventurous in my head than in real life. 7. I LOVE the BOOK Gone with the Wind. I greatly dislike the movie version...I'm sure it's because I read the book before I watched the movie and you know what that means...I know what REALLY happened. Do you? That was fairly pain-free. This is one to be passed on, but since I've done it in the past, I'll wait a while to do it again. Thanks again to Joyce & Amanda...2 very different, but very lovely ladies...stop by and pay them a visit if you get a moment!

ReplyDeleteWow! #1-3 describes me exactly and #6! I was talking the other day with my Mom and sis about how I went straight from reading Judy Blume in the 5th grade to Stephen King books! They used to scare the crap out of me, too - IT still does!! Haha All your pictures are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteHow fun!! Two awards and a contest. I can't decide which one to vote for....is there an "all of the above" option at the site?
ReplyDeletewow! great food photos!
ReplyDeleteThe chicken photo makes me hungriest, but the lasagna photo is so creative- I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe have many things in common according to your list (crying easily, thunderstorms and rain,a good book ruins a great movie for me, I sing constantly (am a gospel singer in fact)and I'm very adventuresome, but this spirit only recently returned to me...once my three sons grew up and moved out of my home! Strange what a little freedom from responsibilities will do to a person.
Congrats on the awards. Your photos are wonderful. Food is harder to photograph than a person would think.
ReplyDeleteYay! How cool Heather. I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI also noticed Gin's tag on your page... Wonder where she's been. I miss her.
I should let you know I'm having a difficult time visiting your page lately. From what I've found out it has to do with IE and blogger gadgets (I wonder if it's not an IE 64 bit problem though). I have the same problem with Mary's blog too. But anyway, if I don't comment it's because I am reading your blog from my phone lol!
Laura
