Since my boys are officially "out" of the tourney, I'm focusing all of my March MADness in another direction.
I will cook and bake and chug sip my Mad Housewife Chardonnay while listening to the "other" boys in the background. The local boys. Mexi and LT's team.
...and I will be content. No. I will be HAPPY. Because it's March and it's beautiful outside so the little bundles of energy can run and run and play and get worn out...while I sip and smile.
What compliments shiny happy days better than Lemon Bars (recipe coming soon) and Chardonnay?
*Just one week left to enter my MAD HOUSEWIFE WINE GIVEAWAY!*

ReplyDeleteI know, they're out so soon this year :(
ReplyDeleteI will be waiting for that lemon bar recipe, my lemon tree is full and in bloom, so this is really time to get them off the tree and use them is something delectable!
LOL You are cracking me up with this post girli! I love it, and I love lemony recipes, so I am looking forward to this! I have been buying a Trader Joe chard that is only 3.99 a bottle for my Saturday cooking excursions!
ReplyDeleteI will look for that Madhousewife brand! Thanks!
Fun, fun, super fun giveaway but I give up alcohol for lent. Of course if I had it in the house I would be a bad girl and drink it - I have to skip out on this one, darn it!
ReplyDeleteCork looks cute, this mad house .
ReplyDeleteI don't think we get Mad Housewife where I live (although I'm certain there are plenty in my neighborhood who would benefit from a swig or ten)
ReplyDeleteLoved!
Haha love this chardonnay! Or the bottle at least! What a fun post.
ReplyDeleteYou've convinced to try it - I have seen it but always wonder about "cute" wine labels. (Apparently animal wine labels are best sellers) Waiting for your luscious lemon bar recipe - I have yet to find a really good one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather, for the heads up about the HSN foodie weekend! Too bad that I just spent over $200 on QVC last week on Lydia Bastianich bakeware, pans, and olive wood utensils. Hubby would go ba-zurk if he I bought another thing right now......but I sure will watch anyway and get some great new ideas!!!!! Be well!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Beautiful pics and I can't wait for your lemon bars recipe woot woot!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, I've come up with something finally for my contribution to this 'competition'. I'm making it tomorow and God willing the pics will turn out worthy to be posted!
Sooo excited. ;)
The wine certainly has a catchy name Heather!!!!! Pass me the lemon bars too please!I would prefer these over a chocolately brownie any day!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Have a great weekend! Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect pairing for a sunny afternoon outside. I love lemon bars. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou had me at lemon bars, but if there's Chardonnay involved? Sign me up!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post. From rich, buttery Chardonnays that boast power and presence to the unoaked fruit-forward Chardonnays that allow the varietal character and expression to be in the spotlight, this white wine is capable of accommodating most palates and just as many food pairing combinations.
