product: Fibers.com custom t-shirts
category: clothing
appearance: vibrant colors, eye-catching
about: Company/website that allows you to design your own custom t-shirt. You may use your own design or choose from over 25,000 designs (you read that right...25K!) designs on their site.
design process: Simple, straight-forward, and easy to use. You begin with the click of a button. Add images, text, graphics, or designs of your own or choose from an existing design template. Choose the type of shirt you'd like it to appear on (from sleeve length to fabric to color). Adjust and confirm. Really, it couldn't be any easier.
quality: We chose a "Men's Fine Cotton T-Shirt" with the base price of $23.99 in Kelly Green (+$4.00 for color other than white). Once shipping was added, I wound up owing an extra $2.99 (above what I was given to try/test this product and site). Although I think that $30.00 is a lot of money for a t-shirt...if I was going to pay that price, I would choose Fibers.com. The shirt was very well made. It is a 100% cotton jersey shirt with a durable rib neckband and fine jersey construction. It is American Apparel brand (made in the USA) and weighs 4.3 ounces. The design is vibrant as is the color of the t-shirt itself. It fit well (we followed their sizing recommendations). I hung it up to dry since it is all cotton. Most of all, my son loves it and enjoys wearing it.
my thoughts/review: I've always been drawn to fun t-shirts. I had stacks and stacks of t-shirts with fun sayings on them back in college. Even now I'm drawn to t-shirts with goofy sayings and/or fun designs. I knew that I wanted one of the MANY food-related designs on their site. But honestly, I just couldn't choose. So I started going back and forth on using one of "my own" sayings and/or designs. Again, I couldn't decide. So I told my 14 year old son to pick a t-shirt design for himself (because what 14 year old doesn't love fun t-shirts). With one stipulation. It had to be food related. Since this is a food blog. He set about the task of finding the perfect shirt. He had a couple in mind. One involved bacon. One said something like "Club Sandwiches not Seals". One probably had something to do with the glory of tacos. But, of course - the moment he saw one called "Watermelon Juice", his mind was made up. I'll admit, it's pretty funny. But it's also kinda gross. In a funny way, of course. What better for a 14 year old boy? He chose the style and the fabric and the color. He thought the watermelon would pop on the green background - I think he was right. He loves it. He wants to shake the hand of the person who came up with this brilliant design. Ha! We had a fabulous experience with Fibers.com. Ease of use and quality final product. I'll be using them again in the future.
