Muy Bueno Cookbook Spotlight & Cook-Off {event announcement}

I am so excited to announce that it's time for another Cookbook Spotlight & Cook-Off!  I've been so very fortunate in the past to work with generous publishers, talented authors, and amazing bloggers.  And so you know - this time around is no different!

I also love that the cookbook we will be featuring in this Spotlight is written by a wonderfully warm and generous trio of ladies who are also bloggers.  Yvette, Veronica, and Vangie are the mother-daughter(s) team behind the blog Muy Bueno Cookbook.  You may have heard of them.  Their blog celebrates their Mexican heritage with recipes passed down through the generations.  But they also put modern twists and surprises into their food and cooking to introduce new traditions into their family.  I was so excited when I laid hands on their beautiful new cookbook.  Why?  Well, one - because I hold Mexican food and culture very near and dear to my own heart (if you know me, you know why).  And, two - because the book is every bit as delicious and inviting as their blog is.  I should also mention their photographer, Jeanine Thurston, since you can't turn a page in the book without seeing a photo that makes you absolutely yearn for some good Mexican food.

Starting on September 16th and spanning a period of three weeks, 15 other bloggers will be joining me in pouring over and cooking from the Muy Bueno Cookbook.  This would not be possible without the generosity of their publisher, Hippocrene, who has provided all of the participants with a copy of this book (and they're also giving us some books to give to you - so watch for that).
