Regular friends and readers know how much of a bookworm I am, so this swap was all kinds of fun for me. The objective of this swap is to send (and receive) a thoughtful package that you think your assigned partner for the swap will love. The best way to do that is by digging through their blog a bit, reading their "about" page, checking them out on social media, and generally chatting with them a bit.
Each package must include:
- a book from your partner's wishlist
- a book that you love and think they might also love
- another book of your choice (that you haven't read)
- other book-related goodies
So, you're guaranteed to get 3 new books for your shelves and reading pleasure...plus some fun extras!
I would have been happy with whoever I was paired with, but I was extra stoked when I found out that Angie from My So Called Chaos and I would be partners this time. I already knew that she was bold and fun and loved color (have you seen her amazing hair?), but I loved talking to her and finding out her other likes, things that made her tick...and finding out how many things we had in common.
As soon as she posts her box reveal, I'll add a link to it so you can see the box I put together for her (fingers crossed that she loves it)!
Now it's time for me to reveal the awesome box that I received from her!
A book from your partner's wishlist: Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice - I'm super excited that this was in my box because it is the June book selection for the All Vampire Book and Movie Challenge that I participate in! I saw the movie ages ago and am really looking forward to finally reading the book it was based on.
A book that you love and think they might also love: Persuasion by Jane Austen - Squee! Although I profess my love for all things Jane Austen, I've never actually read any of her books besides Pride and Prejudice. But I've read plenty of Austen-inspired novels and seen most of the movie adaptations. I can't wait to actually read this (plus, it was also on my wishlist).
Another book of your choice (that you haven't read): The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen - Sarah Addison Allen is one of my favorite authors. I adore the way she weaves magic and food into her stories. Angie hasn't read this one, but wants to, and since it was also on my wishlist, she added it to the box. I actually have read it several times, but I didn't own it before now and wanted to - so I'm pumped to finally have it in my collection. I've been contemplating doing a recipe inspired by it, as well...so watch for that in the future (I've already posted 2 recipes inspired by another SAA novel, Garden Spells).
Other book-related goodies: Okay, so how much fun is this Color Me Drunk adult drinking and drawing activity book!? Angie knows that I love good beer, so I'm going to have a blast with this one. Chapters include: Color Inside the Lines? (Your Basic Skills, Trashed) | Doodling While Intoxicated (When Creativity is On Tap) | Art Ssschooool! (Major in Partying) | Creative Careers (Drinking on the Job) | Happy Hour (Games to Pass the Time) | Deep Thoughts (Drunk Musings, Half-Remembered).
And since I'm a total cat person, she also included these adorable Kitty Cat Sticky Memo Point Markers, that will be awesome for marking my spot in a book (it's like she knows me)!

Thanks so much Angie—I adore everything in this box!
