A quick overview of the film: it is set in Scotland, centering around an Indian family who owns a restaurant. The patriarch passes away and the eldest, estranged daughter comes home to find the restaurant in danger of being sold due to her late father's gambling debts. She decides to put the lessons her father taught her growing up in the industry, as well as her skills learned elsewhere, to use in trying to save it by entering the local "Best of the West Curry Competition". Along the way, she (and a few others) fall in love and have to navigate the less than "traditional" waters the relationships bring. Full of mouthwatering food scenes, this corny but cute romantic comedy is worth the watch if you can get your hands on it.
Aside from me, only ONE other person was actually able to watch the film. Let's take a look at the short, but inspired roundup inspired by Nina's Heavenly Delights!
Wendy from A Day in the Life on the Farm was able to locate the film for a decent price On Demand, and ran with the curry-theme of the film to create these wonderfully savory Curried Chicken Muffins. I love her creativity...and her flavor palate!
I was also inspired by the aspect of the curry competition, as well as the Glasgow setting when I (Heather from All Roads Lead to the Kitchen) made this satisfying and delicious recipe for Scottish Curry.

Although I'm a bit bummed that we were the only two who were able to get our hands on the entire film, the ingenuity and creativity of the Food 'n Flix club bloggers never disappoints! I mean, who lets a little thing like not being able to find the film stop them from joining in the fun? Not these two...
Camilla from Culinary Adventures with Camilla scoured the internet and watched every preview, trailer, and piece of the film she could find. Her adorable Curry Ninja(bread) Men were inspired by a quote from Nina's sister Priya. Pretty darn clever!
Following Camilla's Lead, Amy from Amy's Cooking Adventures did the same, and after noticing the many curry and spice mixes in the film, she created this Everything Bagel Spice.
Thanks so much to all who participated this month...against all odds!
